Royal Mail Blue 16pc Tea Set by Myott Fine Staffordshire Ware, made in England c1910-1920s design, discontinued. This tea set contains 4 saucers & 4 tea cups, 4 fruit/dessert bowls, and 4 bread and butter plates. This set is in excellent condition. The Royal Mail design in blue and white show a scene depicting old English landscape with mail coaches and horses. The rims of each piece have a swirled effect in the porcelain.
The bottom of the saucers are stamped with ‘Myott Royal Mail Fine Staffordshire Ware Made in England.’ The bottom of the tea cups read ‘England 21’ written in the porcelain before the drying process. One of the tea cups has a small chip on the rim. Tea cups measure 3.5” diameter and 2.5” tall/deep. Saucers measure 5.5” diameter.
The bottom of the bread and butter plates are stamped ‘Myott Royal Mail A Genuine Hand Engraving Fine Staffordshire Ware With All Permanent Colors Made in England.’ The plates measure almost 7” diameter.
The bottom of the fruit/dessert bowls are stamped with ‘Myott Royal Mail Fine Staffordshire Ware Made in England.’ The bowls measure roughly 5.25” diameter and 1.25” tall/deep.
